Vacuum filtration is one of the most common applications used for sample preparation in chemistry, microbiology, waste water control and other analytical processes. The new ME 1C diaphragm pump offers a compact, high performance and easy-to-use solution which is perfect for single filtrations. This new development, based on the highly successful technology of the oil-free diaphragm pump MD 1C, provides a well-proven and extraordinarily long diaphragm life time. The functional, space saving and innovative design with easily accessible, top-mounted power switch ensures convenient and quick operation for day-to-day lab work. Robust PTFE diaphragms and valves provide optimal chemical resistance. A manual vacuum regulator valve with dial gauge for adjustment of pumping speed and ultimate vacuum is available as accessory.

Compact vacuum pumps for filtration and solid phase extraction
The diaphragm pumps ME 1 and ME 1C complete the range of compact vacuum pumps for applications like filtration and sample preparation in chemistry, microbiology, waste water control and other analytical processes. The ultimate vacuum of 100 mbar obtains 90% of atmospheric pressure that is doing the work of forcing the media through the filter. For aqueous filtration, the ME 1 is the optimal choice; however, for more aggressive solvents, the ME 1C with its superior chemical resistance properties is the right solution. The new top mounted power switch and the space saving design offers an easy-to-use functionality even with gloves and requires minimal bench top space. An optional manual control valve with dial gauge enables variable fine adjustment of the pumping speed (max. 0.7 m³/h).
The ME 1 and ME 1C allow an almost maintenance-free use. New designed from the established technology of the three-stage model line MD 1 and MD 1C they stand out due to a proven long diaphragm life.
